I noticed that I had a fungus on my toenail and it was pretty advanced by the time I noticed it. The middle of my nail was lifted and detached. I decided to try using chlorine dioxide to treat it. I started by taking a few doses of chlorine dioxide and then applied it directly to my nail both underneath and on top. I only used 3 drops at a time, sometimes mixed with water and sometimes applied straight. I made sure to do it after my shower and before bed, although I did forget sometimes. Even with sporadic use, within a month, the fungus was gone. I had heard that treating a fungus like this could cause misshapen nails, but thankfully, that did not happen when I used chlorine dioxide.
